SplitNote does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. Everything stays on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains how SplitNote ("the App"), developed by AVS Music Life Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"), handles your information. SplitNote is a fully offline mobile application consisting of two tools: a Royalty Split Calculator and a Lyrics Notepad.
Because SplitNote works entirely offline and requires no account or login, this policy is straightforward, we have no access to anything you do in the app.
No Data Collection
- Personal information: name, email, phone number, or identity of any kind
- Song lyrics, titles, or any content you write in the Lyrics Notepad
- Revenue figures, collaborator names, or split percentages entered in the calculator
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral data
- Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies
SplitNote has no backend server, no database, no analytics SDK, and no advertising network integration of any kind. We are technically incapable of accessing your data.
Local Storage
To provide a useful experience, SplitNote saves your data locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences system. This includes your saved songs lyrics, collaborator names, and percentage splits.
This data:
— Never leaves your device
— Is not backed up to any cloud service by SplitNote
— Is only accessible by the SplitNote app itself
— Is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app
You are in full control. You can clear all app data at any time from your phone's Settings → Apps → SplitNote → Clear Data.
Permissions
SplitNote requests zero Android permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, storage, location, or any other sensitive system resource.
The app functions entirely within its own sandboxed environment. No system permission dialogs will ever appear when using SplitNote.
Third Parties & Internet Access
SplitNote does not connect to the internet. There are no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or social media integrations embedded in the app.
We do not share any information with any third party because we have no information to share. No data is sold, rented, traded, or disclosed to any external entity under any circumstance.
SplitNote is listed on the Google Play Store. Google may collect certain information about your device and app installation under their own privacy policy, which is independent of this policy and our app.
Children's Privacy
SplitNote does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages.
If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child's use of the app, please feel free to contact us. Though we can confirm no personal data is ever collected or stored remotely.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. If a future version of SplitNote introduces any data-related features, this policy will be updated clearly before the update is published.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
